I am a prairie girl born and raised, now living in the vast mountainous beauty of BC. Still, the prairie's luminous sunsets and racy thunderstorms, which both scare you deeply and restore your inner inspirations, stay vivid in my mind. Yes you can watch your dog run away for miles, yes you can build a two story snow-fort in your backyard in the pitch white snow-blizzard day and yes you can get caught in the middle of a small tornado-like dust storm that will redirect your path momentarily, such is life on the flatlands and I wouldn't have had it any other way growing up.Besides photography, horseback riding is another big chapter in my life. I've been riding since I was little but only started to become serious about competing in the last 4 years. Horses are actually why I started photography. I used to take random candid pictures of all of us goofing off in the ring or on the trail throughout my years in 4-H and started to develop an eye for the shot. I then began broadening my practice to anything else that peaked my interest.Photography is that expressing art form that speaks from the individual of their idea on beauty of raw and defined emotions milked into a pattern on paper. Each photo I deliver will hopefully portray the same yet different reaction, feel and vision to you as it does to me.
